Arriving: An Imbolc Retreat
Arriving: Imbolc at Tyddyn Siarl
This weekend at Tyddyn Siarl in Llanberis was about one simple, powerful thing: arriving.
Arriving in our bodies after long journeys and busy weeks.
Arriving with one another in real, human connection.
Arriving into the quiet return of light that Imbolc symbolises.
Seasonal practices included Yoga with Helen and Qi Gong with Anja
In a world that so often keeps us rushing, scrolling, and half-present, the retreat offered something different - time and space to truly land. The retreat opened with an evening sauna, and it immediately set the tone. Warmth, steam, and moonlight gave way to the shock and joy of cold water in Llyn Padarn. It was a simple, powerful way for people to arrive - getting to know one another, landing in their bodies, and starting to feel at ease in the space and with each other.
An evening sauna session brought people together in an atmospheric setting on the Llyn Padarn
From there, everything unfolded gently. Yoga, qi gong, journalling, rest, and conversation wove together into a rhythm that felt both nourishing and grounding. The rain on the roof during practice became its own kind of music - a container for reflection, presence, and renewal.
From the studio looking out just as we were settling into an afternoon session of acupressure points and restorative yoga. We had some unexpected visitors.
What stood out most was the sense of community. Away from online noise and day-to-day overwhelm, something real emerged: people listening deeply, sharing honestly, and supporting one another without performance or pressure.
Imbolc is about the first stirrings of light after winter - not a sudden change, but a quiet remembering that growth is possible. This weekend felt like that. A collective pause. A return to ourselves. A reminder that in gathering together, in real life, something meaningful always has a chance to grow.
This beautiful retreat was held by Helen and Anja who were just as busy behind the scenes making sure everyone was well fed and nourished in between facilitating their practices for our guests to enjoy . This was our first collaboration with Anja and it felt truly wholesome and supportive.
Once again we were able to share the pamper kit by UpCircle Beauty - our heartfelt thanks.
