Wellbeing, Yoga, Creativity & Nature

Surrounded by mountains and fresh flowing rivers, allow time to absorb the natural beauty of the landscape as well as the vibrancy and warmth of Llanberis.

This breath-taking village lies in the heart of Snowdonia – a magnet for thrill seekers, from intrepid hikers scaling the wild and rocky peaks to those looking for adventure on the fresh water of Llyn Padarn.

Within just 500 metres of Llanberis Retreats, you can access paths directly to the summit of Yr Wyddfa (Snowdon), or opt for a more relaxing journey courtesy of the famous Snowdonia Mountain Railway. Hop aboard the train and enjoy the incredible views blister free as you climb the highest mountain in England and Wales in around an hour.

In the village of Llanberis itself, you’ll find specialist hiking and outdoor equipment shops so you can make sure you’re prepared for a day of adventures. And there are plenty of independent cafes and eateries where you can refuel or just take the weight off your feet.

The third-of-an-acre garden is a haven for wildlife and boasts a small woodland at the back, silver birch trees at the front and a running stream beyond the boundary. Alfresco lunches can be enjoyed on the sunny front patio, which is made from a rare slate known as ‘Heather’, thanks to its soft purple hue.

Our retreat

Space at Tyddyn Siarl is set en-route to the Llanberis Pass and nestled within the beauty of the Welsh Slate Mountains, recently granted Unesco World Heritage status.

The retreat was born after the original 1730s farm house was renovated to include a light-filled, open-plan extension, fusing traditional Welsh craftsmanship with modern architecture. Thanks to the local builder’s incredible work, the space has been entered for the Welsh National Best Build competition.

Tyddyn Siarl is now home to a restful retreat that retains the original building’s warmth and character and sits in harmony with the landscape.

We look forward to welcoming you along on the adventure.

“I started to practice yoga with Helen when I first moved to the village of Broadbottom in 2016 and have been going to her classes since. I had tried yoga before and found this is the right style for me with emphasis on breathing and movement. The philosophy behind the yoga practice also speaks to me focusing on the moment and stay positive. Helen is a lovely teacher and always ready for a chat about yoga or life in general.”
