This retreat is co-hosted by husband-and-wife team Helen and David Roscoe-Rutter.
Helen will guide you safely throughout the weekend as you explore deeply connecting yoga practices, breath-work, meditation, and relaxation, with some sessions taking place outdoors in nature.
Dave will prepare and cook delicious home-made vegan and vegetarian meals, and ensure everything runs smoothly behind the scenes so you can truly relax.
We’ll also be joined by the scenic sauna:
Sauna Wales - Providing our traditional sauna experience, paired with an invigorating cold-water dip at Llyn Padarn.

Calan Gaeaf Day Retreat – Embrace the First Day of Winter
Step into the quiet magic of Calan Gaeaf, the first day of winter in the Welsh tradition, celebrated alongside Samhain. This one-day retreat is designed for those wishing to dip their toes into the retreat experience, without the time or financial commitment of a full weekend away.
Together we will honour the turning of the seasons through movement, creativity, and time in nature.
Begin your day with seasonal yoga, moving gently and intentionally as autumn deepens. From there, explore your creativity in a pumpkin felting workshop, with all materials provided. After a nourishing packed lunch, we’ll head out for a nature walk with Qi Gong, immersing ourselves in the rhythms of the landscape and the quiet beauty of the season.
As the afternoon draws in, settle into a deeply nurturing yoga, acupressure, and restorative practice, allowing the body to soften and the mind to rest.

Learning to Look: A Photography Retreat is a three-day photography retreat in Llanberis, Snowdonia National Park, North Wales, offering an encouraging, calm and supportive space to slow down and learn how to see more clearly.
Designed for beginner and intermediate photographers, the retreat focuses on building confidence with the camera while exploring light, composition and the character of place. Through teaching, practice and gentle guidance, participants are supported to develop a more confident and personal photography practice.
Learn how to look, capture and document the environment around you with intention and purpose.
David has worked in the creative world for over 20 years. From junior designer to film maker and photographer, he has a wealth of technical and creative knowledge to kick start your photographic journey. From basic camera settings to editing your photos, learning to look, getting creative and composure to understanding focal lengths and ISO.
A chance to get out, explore and capture the world around us, with the knowledge to keep taking great photos for years to come.

You’ll stay with us at our cosy retreat venue in Llanberis, giving you the freedom to fully immerse yourself in the learning, group exploration and learn to look and capture the world around you. David and Helen will guide you through the weekend from photography teaching, exploration and hosting, a Sauna session at the lake, as well as a short gentle relaxation session, designed to help you stretch, relax and bring mindful awareness to the body. This will complement the photography experience, supporting focus, presence and a grounded connection to the surroundings.
After the retreat, participants will also have access to an online learning space, creative prompts and a community area to share work and stay connected, supporting longer-term learning beyond the time together in Wales.

Monday mornings with Angharad

Expect a heat building class that will feature a sequence of yoga asana (poses) flowing in and out of movement (with Vinyasa), building heat, improving strength, poses that will stretch and develop flexibility.
Whilst working with the breath to improve lung capacity, diaphragm flexibility and calm the nervous system. There will be options to modify poses to suit individual needs and there are a number of props to use in the studio.
You will be invited to challenge yourself but it is up to you what level of challenge you want to take depending on how you feel. There is always an option to rest whenever you feel like it throughout the class. You will not be made to do anything you don't want to do.

Expect a gentle and slow series of poses that will focus on how to keep and improve mobility for our everyday needs. There will be plenty of stretches that will work to improve flexibility and some poses to explore and improve strength.
Poses can be modified to suit the needs of the individual, as well as the use of props- blocks, cushions and chairs. The class will end with a 15 minute period of rest using gentle sound healing instruments to aid relaxation. Everyone is welcome. This is a relaxed class so expect to smile and chat a little!
